Students leaned to build an Asian inspired Tiny Earthen Home featuring traditional Japanese, Moroccan and European earthen techniques that are perfect for a sustainable Texas Tiny House that’s efficient, lovely and economical.
A great intensive weekend primer workshop learning how to build your first little Natural home economically and efficiently.
Hands-on learning intricacies of:
- Sculpting / molding European Clay board into pallet framing
- Solar and passive design with feng shui principles
- Integrating basic Permaculture features
- Earthen and Lime pozzolan plaster
- Permitting and design legalities
- Making the perfect cob/adobe mix
- Earthen insulative and thermal walls
- how to design a Phased construction plan to add on
- how to choose the correct hybrid of Natural building technique
- how to make earthbags, adobe blocks, cob, light-straw, pallet-board
This is a family friendly workshop. Parents are free to come in and out as they feel fit to assist their children. Children are encouraged to pitch in with parent support. Other activities will be offered for children-style building and learning, close by with enough children registrations.
Come with your pictures and designs for the design phase of the workshop. We'll help tweak and edit with helpful suggestions and project management ideas.
