Students leaned to build an Asian inspired Tiny Earthen Home featuring traditional Japanese, Moroccan and European earthen techniques that are perfect for a sustainable Texas Tiny House that’s efficient, lovely and economical. 
A great intensive weekend primer workshop learning how to build your first little Natural home economically and efficiently.


Hands-on learning intricacies of:
  • Sculpting / molding European Clay board into pallet framing
  • Solar and passive design with feng shui principles
  • Integrating basic Permaculture features
  • Earthen and Lime pozzolan plaster
  • Permitting and design legalities 
  • Making the perfect cob/adobe mix
  • Earthen insulative and thermal walls
  • Installing electrical
  • how to design a Phased construction plan to add on 
  • how to choose the correct hybrid of Natural building technique
  • how to make earthbags, adobe blocks, cob, light-straw, pallet-board
This is a family friendly workshop. Parents are free to come in and out as they feel fit to assist their children. Children are encouraged to pitch in with parent support. Other activities will be offered for children-style building and learning, close by with enough children registrations. ​
Come with your pictures and designs for the design phase of the workshop. We'll help tweak and edit with helpful suggestions and project  management ideas.





Kids Spring Break Camp

Build a small earthen dome playhouse, a rain water collection and a bee hive lesson. All about sustainability, getting dirty and playing!

Camp Details:
Wednesday - Friday, 9 - 3pm March 18 - 20 $195 
Late care till 5:30pm + $20/day 
Location: Eco School, 4105 Manchaca Rd, Austin, 78704 

Kids will spend their days:
  • Playing village and forts
  • Helping a fellow villager build an earthen dome house
  • Making a rain collector
Learning about the importance of:
  • Bees from a real bee keeper
  • Keeping our aquifers clean
  • Learning to be a handy little soul building things for yourself!
  • Having fun!

Learn about permaculture design and build 2 Natural Homes side-by-side for all 9 days or just the weekends at the Earth Native Wilderness School in Bastrop TX.  

Join us in building an earthbag round house and timber frame with light-clay-straw, adobe and cob. 
Natural Builders Thea Bryant and Kirby Fry will lead this 9 day intensive Blitz to kickstart anyone's dream of seriously building their own permaculturally designed Natural home.

And it's our great fortune to have permaculture aficionado, Kirby to introduce permaculture design principles to further compliment the week about creating a truly sustainable homestead.
